The competition tasks include product 3D data acquisition, 3D modeling, 3D digital inspection, product optimization design and manufacturing, product innovative design and manufacturing, and product fixture (gauge) design.The competition comprehensively assesses participants' capabilities in the following aspects:
• Data acquisition using 3D scanning equipment;
• 3D modeling capabilities, especially surface modeling skills;
• Product dimensional measurement, geometric and form & position tolerance inspection, and the ability to issue inspection reports;
• Integrated design and topology optimization design capabilities;
• Ability to complete specified product processing tasks on time with high quality using metal 3D printers through optimal paths and methods, as well as post-processing of printed models;
• Innovative design of new products, ability to complete specified product processing tasks on time with high quality using stereolithography printers through optimal paths and methods, as well as post-processing of printed models;
• Fixture or gauge design capabilities, along with FDM printer operation, post-processing of printed parts, and product assembly skills.
